Hotovely said, "We expect the American administration to recognize united Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and implement President Trump's election promise to transfer the American embassy to Jerusalem.

"The people of Israel expect this, and there is no better timing for this than now, in the year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem," she said.

Congressman Gohmert promised that he would continue to promote the issue and said, "I believe it will happen and that President Trump will keep his promise."

Earlier today Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's office responded to the report according to which US President Donald Trump decided to extend the order preventing and delaying transfer of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu's office has not received any notice about a decision by the US government to move or not to move the US Embassy," an official notice said.
