Watch: Two dead, 18 injured in bus crash in Negev

Bus collided with two private cars near Bedouin town of Hura in southern Israel leaving two dead, 18 injured.

Two people were killed and 18 injured when a bus filled with passengers collided with two private cars on Route 31 near the Bedouin community of Hura in the Negev Sunday evening.

The two victims killed in the accident were reportedly in their 30s.

Of the 18 people injured in the incident, 1 is in serious condition, another in moderate, while the remaining 16 suffered light injuries.

Large numbers of emergency medical responders from MDA arrived at the scene, treating victims at the scene and evacuating them to Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva.

Police have closed Route 31 to traffic following the accident from Tel Arad westbound and eastbound from Shukat junction.

The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
