The three-vehicle head-on collision occurred on Route 772, between Kiryat Atta and the majority haredi town of Rekhasim, in the Haifa District.

Two of the victims were in their sixties and residents of Kiryat Bialik. The initial police investigation indicates that three vehicles were involved in the collision. Police suspect that one driver may have been driving against the direction of the oncoming traffic, thereby causing the collision.

Mda paramedic Hen Landi who treated to the wounded stated that, "The crash was a brutal collision between two cars, the wounded were trapped in the cars due to the sheer force of the impact. We treated the victims, alongside rescue services, on site."

One man in his sixties was rescued from the car and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. One woman in her sixties was rescued from the driver's seat of the second vehicle and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A man in his seventies was found in the seat beside her with no pulse and was treated and taken to the hospital in critical condition. In the passenger seat of the same car, paramedics rescued a woman in her forties who was also evacuated in critical condition. Additionally, a lightly wounded woman from the third car was found in stable condition and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
