A motorcyclist aged around 33 was killed on Tuesday night in a collision with a truck on the coastal highway, near Netanya Interchange on the southward bound side of the road.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Tzipi Pliskin who arrived at the scene said, "we saw a truck, a crushed motorcycle, and nearby was lying an unconscious man with no pulse who was not breathing."

"He suffered from very serious damage to multiple bodily systems. We tried to check if it was possible to save him, but unfortunately no signs of life were found and we were forced to pronounce his death."

Shortly earlier on Tuesday night a child around the age of three was critically injured in another accident, in which three vehicles crashed near Modi'im Junction, close to the Ben Shemen Forest.

MDA teams evacuated the child to Assaf Harofeh Hospital while trying to resuscitate him.

Six other victims were injured in the crash, including a 24-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man both of whom were moderately wounded. The other four were lightly injured.

Some of the six victims were evacuated to Assaf Harofeh, while others were brought to Tel Hashomer Hospital.
