Nearly 450,000 people visited Israel's parks and beaches Sunday, on the first day of Chol HaMoed - and Monday's pleasant weather may see similar turnouts.

Skies will be partly cloudy and slightly hazy nationwide Monday, with a slight drop in temperatures, forecasters say. Despite this, weather will remain hotter than the seasonal average.

On Tuesday, temperatures will rise dramatically for a 24-hour heat wave, forecasters say, followed by a cooling-down later in the week.
