Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon (Kulanu) is expected to take advantage of the Mini-Norwegian-Law that allows a cabinet minister or deputy minister to step down form the Knesset, letting the next member on the party list take their place.

With Kahlon's departure, the next on Kulanu's list Akram Hasoon will join the ranks of the Knesset. Hassoun previously served as a Knesset member with Kadima during the 18th Knesset for less than a year.

Hassoun hails from a Druze background and was previously the Mayor of Carmel. He currently serves as the President of Carmel College.

Deputy Minister Shulem Nahari (Shas) recently used the law and stepped down so that MK Yoav Guetta could take his place in the plenum.

Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) also used the law to allow Shuli Mualem to enter the Knesset, and then reentered the Knesset after Yinon Magal resigned while facing sexual harassment allegations.
