The Education Ministry announced on Thursday afternoon that part of the bagrut high school matriculation exam has been leaked in the Arab sector - yet again.

A section on literature in the Arabic version of the nationwide test was leaked, in what seems to be becoming an annual tradition; last January numerous cases of Arabs leaking the exam were likewise revealed.

In response the Education Ministry on Thursday canceled the specific leaked section and is preparing an alternative set of questions through the internal internet network of the exam headquarters.

Arab students were to be tested on the leaked section at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. While the section has been canceled, bagrut exams for the Jewish and Druze sectors are continuing as scheduled.

The Education Ministry said it views the repeated leaks seriously, and added it will not show any tolerance in the face of the attempts to harm the integrity of the exams.

In response, Education Ministry director Michal Cohen ordered that a complaint be submitted to the police, to try and locate those responsible for the act.
