An Arab terrorist attempted to conduct a stabbing attack on Tuesday afternoon at Hakiosk Checkpoint, located near Abu Dis to the east of Jerusalem.

His intention of stabbing Border Police officers was thwarted however, as the security personnel beat him to the punch and shot him dead.

Initial reports indicate the terrorist approached the checkpoint with a drawn knife, rushing towards the combat soldiers while shouting "Allahu akbar" (Allah is greater).

They called for him to stop several times, and when he refused and continued charging them they shot him down.

Earlier on Tuesday, two Arab terrorists aged 12 and 13 surprised and stabbed a security guard at a light rail station in Jerusalem's Pisgat Ze'ev, moderately wounding him before being arrested.

Minutes after the teen terrorists struck, a second attacker struck at Damascus Gate of Jerusalem's Old City. The terrorist was shot before being able to stab any victims.
