Singer-songwriter Berry Sakharof came to Tel Hashomer Hospital earlier this week to bring some happiness to Yuval Apel, an IDF soldier who was severely wounded when he was run over by a terrorist in early August.

Yuval and two other soldiers who were injured in the attack were combat soldiers from the Infantry Training School, who were on patrol on Highway 60. Their unit reinforced the IDF forces in the region after the recent arson attack in the village of Duma, in which an Arab baby and his parents were killed.

Yuval, in a wheelchair, can be seen singing along with Sakharov in the video below.

He was taken by helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital where he was under sedation and artificial respiration for three weeks.

After he woke up, in what his doctors said was "a miracle," he began a process of rehabilitation.

His friend, Netanel Shmilovich, wrote this week: "As soon as Yuval entered Tel Hashomer, he asked me if I could bring over Berry Sakharof, because he really, really, loves Barry and as a good friend, I did not hesitate for a moment… I made a lot of phone calls and thank God I succeeded in reaching Berry Sakharof's production team, who took no time to think and immediately came over to visit Yuval and bring joy to his heart.

"It's fun to see that there are good people out there – and thanks again to Berry Sakharof, who agreed to come. And of course, we thank God every day for the miracle he did for Yuval."
