It has been allowed for publication that the Jewish man who was stabbed Monday morning at Beit Eynun Junction, just north of Kiryat Arba, is a 19-year-old soldier.
He was stabbed in the neck and seriously wounded.
The terrorist has been shot dead.
The victim was evacuated by Magen David Adom (MDA) medics to Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem for treatment. He was admitted in very serious and unstable condition, on artificial respiration and anesthetized.
Later in the day, a stabbing was thwarted at the Cave of Machpela in Hevron.
The city has been a flashpoint in the recent wave of Arab terrorism, with several stabbings recorded in Kiryat Arba over the course of the month.
