Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein called on the government to unite amidst a fresh flurry of terror attacks across Israel on Tuesday.

"Many citizens have been crying out for days and weeks since this wave of terror began," Edelstein declared during a Knesset address, before urging opposition parties to join the government.

"This is the moment of truth for Israel. This is the time to put disputes aside. This is time to for us all to unite against terror. This is the time for us to stand as one body - strong and powerful."

"I urge all of you in this house, all leaders in Israel, and to all who hold the fate, future and strength of Israel important and dear to him, to get up and join the government," Edelstein stated. "It is time for a unity government."

"This is not the hour for small account, it is not the time for games of honor or seats," he continued.

"I have no doubt that the vast majority of the public is looking at us puzzled and concerned, expecting us to show maturity and responsibility, to abandon the day-to-day accounts, because now is not the of routine but of emergency.

"In front of the cruel and vicious attacks, there are no [political] camps. Against the murderous enemy, who only wants to weaken us and make us disappear, there are no parties and there is no division.

"Let us turn this hour of complicated trial into an hour of will," Edelstein stressed. "Only in that way can we deal with the enemies, murderers and challenges that face us."
