A pedestrian in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev became a hero on Monday, after he attempted to neutralize the two Palestinian Arab minors who stabbed a Jewish teen and a 25 year-old man.
Police named the terrorists in Monday's attack as brothers Ahmad and Mahmad Mansour, aged 13 and 15, from the Arab neighborhood of Beit Hanina.
"Suddenly, I heard shouting," the bystander stated to Channel 10. "It took me a second, then I ran toward them. After I saw the teenager with a stab wound, then I ran - I ran after them. They were frightened and started running away."
"One ran to the left, the bigger one, he ran straight toward the train and I followed him," he continued. "The little one - I said to myself, maybe I can neutralize him, I'm less afraid of him."
"I ran after the big one, I got to the stairs, and suddenly I hear my cousin shouting behind me, 'the other one's behind you!'"
The civilian was feet away facing the attacker, who was armed with a knife; he said that he, the would-be-Good Samaritan, only had a stick.
"I threw the stick at his head to hurt him; I missed," he continued. "He started running with his knife again along the road."
Finally, the civilian managed to neutralize the attacker.
"I saw a Mazda drive past me," he said. "I signaled to it to go to the right, it hit the attacker a little and sent the knife flying - and then I neutralized him."
