Rookie Likud MK Sharren Haskel criticized her fellow new Likud MK Oren Hazan during the course of a meeting of the young Likud governing council, following Hazan's criticism of Defense Minister and senior Likudnik Moshe Ya'alon.

Haskel called for unity behind Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Ya'alon against the current wave of terror attacks.

She went on to say that statements against Ya'alon are detached from reality, irresponsible, and broadcast panic and a lack of judgement.

"As someone who was a combat soldier in the Border Patrol during the terror wave of the 2000s, I am familiar with the complexity of things and convinced that the responsible and measured actions that the defense minister is leading with the prime minister and the internal security minister will return the quiet and prevent an escalation," claimed Haskel.

"Impassioned declarations only cause damage," she added.

Hazan has recently leveled serious criticism against Ya'alon, who just Thursday night said no wide-scale operation into the Palestinian Authority (PA) ruled territories will be launched to stop the attacks, claiming that "we have dealt with worse times," and simply urging the Israeli public to be "resilient."

After the lethal rock throwing attack in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv last month, Hazan told Arutz Sheva that he had called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to dismiss Ya'alon over the lack of a firm response to terror attacks.

In his letter to Netanyahu, Hazan wrote: "I have lost confidence in the defense minister of the state of Israel."
