Yesh Atid party chairman MK Yair Lapid called the European Parliament's vote Thursday to mark products manufactured in "territory occupied in 1967" “a badge of disgrace for the European Parliament."

"The decision by the EP is in effect a boycott of the state of Israel. The best evidence for this is that the Golan Heights are included in the ridiculous call to mark products," he said.

"Whom do they expect us to return the Golan to? ISIS? Jabhat al Nusra? Hezbollah? This is an irresponsible decision that is divorced from reality,” argued Lapid, and the people who voted for it are shamefully hypocritical. “They ignore the horrific deeds in Syria, and crawl to the Iranian regime in order to develop trade agreements with them but call for a boycott on products from the Golan Heights. These is no greater folly than this.

"Europe should busy itself with how to prevent the great amount of money that will now flow from them to Iran, from reaching Hezbollah and the terror organizations that are now on Israel's borders,” the former finance minister added.
