Common sense would seem to dictate that if one had consumed several alcoholic drinks they would avoid putting themselves and others at risk by getting behind the wheel, and even in the event that they did break the law they would at least try to avoid incident and detection.

But common sense evidently was not the major motivating force for 26-year-old Christopher L. Stewart of a small town in Kentucky near the Tennessee border, who on Tuesday night found a particularly flamboyant way to expose himself to police, Associated Press reports Thursday.

The major motivating force acting on the young native of Hopkinsville appears to have been no less than a pint of beer, and it evidently influenced him into ramming his car into the local police station.

The Kentucky New Era reports that Stewart pulled into the "do not enter" side of the police station's parking lot, and there he slammed on the brakes, nearly hitting a police patrol car.

Stewart then staggered out of his vehicle and asked that the officers arrest him for driving under the influence (DUI).

But that wasn't all for the inebriated man.

He then tried to drink a closed bottle of fuel injector cleaning fluid - fortunately the officers were too quick for him and pulled the toxic liquid from him before he let his binge drinking get away from himself.

They then cordially accommodated his request and arrested him at 8:19 p.m. local time.
