As it turns out, President Barack Obama caved into pressure and agreed to legislation empowering the Republican-dominated Congress to reject any nuclear agreement with Iran.

The White House bowed to pressure before Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approved the bill that gives US lawmakers the final say on lifting crippling economic sanctions levied on Iran.
