Likud MK Ze'ev Elkin appears to have made a gaffe in a radio interview and recommended voting for a rival party – or perhaps, he was just being brutally honest.

Speaking on Galei Yisrael Radio, Elkin was asked how a nationalist voter should vote.

"How should a voter who opposes a Palestinian state feel?" he answered. "Whoever \wants to be sure that every MK in his party opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state should vote for the Jewish Home - but whoever wants to prevent a Palestinian state should vote for the Likud."

"If he wants to feel completely right, then perhaps it is right for him to vote for the Jewish Home,” he continued. “He will feel 100% at ease with himself.”

MK Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) made a similar gaffe on Kol Beramah radio and mistakenly called on all right wingers to vote for Likud, before correcting herself.
