The latest issue of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which was the target of a terrorist attack last week, will be widely distributed in Toronto and in other parts of Canada.

The magazine made a defiant return on Wednesday with a new issue that sold out across France in record time. The satirical magazine once again featured the Prophet Mohammed on its cover - but with a tear in his eye, holding a "Je Suis Charlie" (I am Charlie) sign under the headline "All is forgiven."

Normally, only a hundred copies of Charlie Hebdo are sold in Canada, and in only two stores in Montreal and Toronto. This week, however, in light of the great demand for the latest issue, 1,500 copies will be sold to a larger number of stores, especially in downtown Toronto and in Quebec, and also in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Vancouver. The issue will be available in stores in Canada on Friday.

The website of the Toronto radio station 680 News, which  reported on the subject on Wednesday, chose not to publish the picture of the cover of the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo, citing respect for the Muslim community, but did attach a link for those who wished to view the cover.

Egypt's Grand Mufti on Tuesday warned the French satirical newspaper against publishing a new caricature of the Prophet Mohammed, saying it was a racist act that would incite hatred and upset Muslims around the world.
