MK Ahmed Tibi (Raam-Taal) on Wednesday once again verbally attacked an MK. This time, the target was MK Yoni Chetboun (Jewish Home).

The argument between the two occurred during a special discussion about last weekend’s incident in the Arab town of Kafr Kana, when 22-year-old Hir Alhamdan was shot and killed by police  after he lunged at a police car and repeatedly made stabbing motions toward the car's window.

During the discussion, Tibi said that all the Arabs who were killed during the intifada over the past decade were “martyrs”, using the Arab word for martyr - “shaheed”.

In response, an angry MK Chetboun told Tibi, “Who's paying you to say 'martyrs' in the Knesset? Is it Qatar?”

Tibi then told Chetboun, “You’re not even worthy of my shoe.”

Only a few days ago, Tibi lashed out at Jewish Home Chairman Naftali Bennett and referred to him as “a racist anti-Semitic Jew”.

The Arab MK has a long history of being criticized for his use of offensive language. Last week, he recited a poem that referred to MK Robert Ilatov (Yisrael Beytenu) as a child who wet his bed. In the 18th Knesset, he used vulgar language when speaking about then-MK Anastasia Michaeli.

Tibi is not the only MK to insult members of the Knesset. On Tuesday, MK Basel Ghattas who is also a member of Tibi’s party, referred to Bennett as a “terrorist”.
