Border Policemen apprehended a 17 and a half year old Arab teen in Jerusalem's Old City Tuesday night, after he was caught carrying a knife.

The suspect was interrogated and generally made threats against police, saying "ISIS and Hamas will take care of you."

Hours earlier, a Molotov cocktail was thrown from Issawiya onto a car driving from the Hebrew University- Mount Scopus area. No injuries and no damage was reported; security forces are still looking for the perpetrators.

However, the attack surfaced just hours after a fierce anti-Israel protest broke at Hebrew University, during which Arabs called to "liberate Palestine" and rage against police and security forces. A counter-protest was set up by nationalist students, who called to end the constant cycle of violence in the capital.

Both attacks erupted in the wake of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's update on the security situation Tuesday, whereby he noted that he would be intensifying the crackdown on terrorism across Israel - and warned Israeli Arabs, specifically, over their role in events.

"I would like to call on Israel's Arab citizens: do not be swept away by propaganda and incitement," he said. "Don't be swept away by an inflamed minority. You are citizens with equal rights and equal obligations, and the first obligation of any citizen is to respect the law."
