El Al flights departing from Ben Gurion Airport Monday, Pesach Eve, will be delayed by one to two hours.

The delay appears to be the result of insufficient preparation for the large volume of passengers, and a shortage of kosher meals.

The delays are in the flights to Milan, Athens, Geneva, Amsterdam, Zurich, Vienna and Budapest.

More than 1,200,000 people are expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport in the course of the week-long Pesach holiday. At least 400 flights took off and landed at the airport Sunday.
