Members of the “Torah nucleus” (ga'in torani) in Lod held a demonstration Saturday evening, in which they demanded that police do a better job of protecting them from hostile Arabs.

On Saturday morning, residents of the Ramat Elyashiv neighborhood discovered that he tires of their cars had been slashed. At least 35 tires in 14 cars were slashed.

Arutz Sheva has learned that residents who complained to a senior officer in the Lod police station about the attacks against them, were shocked when he answered: “Do you think you live in Givat Mordechai neighborhood of Jerusalem?”

The residents demand that the government provide a proper response to the continued attacks by Arabs.

Municipality Director Aharon Atias told Arutz Sheva: “We see the deed as a very grave one... the residents of Lod pay a security tax and they will receive security. We will add more patrols, police cars and cameras.

Mayor Yair Revivo published a statement in which he said that he expects the police “to find the criminals and put them on trial.”
