Arutz Sheva visited on Sunday the annual EUROBAT conference, which took place this year in Jerusalem.

EUROBAT is the unified voice of the European automotive and industrial battery industry in policy discussions involving the industry and the European Institutions and national governments.

Sunday’s conference in Jerusalem was attended by ten CEOs and presidents of the world’s leading batteries and energy companies.

According to Oded Distel, Director of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor’s investment promotion center, “We’ve managed to convince this organization to hold their annual meeting here in Israel, and we’re using this very important platform to play matchmaker between EUROBAT members and Israeli companies that offer innovative technologies and solutions in the vast spectrum of oil-free initiatives.”

Arutz Sheva also spoke with Jonathan Sassen, CTO of Electric Fuel, which specializes in battery management systems and safety systems for lithium ion batteries.

“Batteries are an area of research where there is intense interest and intense efforts across the world to improve the energy density and power density,” he said. “The effort is paying off and we are one of the companies which are moving that along.”
