Dr. Shira Abramson of Tekoa was killed in a tragic road accident on Monday evening. Dr. Abramson, a resident of Tekoa, was killed near the entrance to the town when her vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle accident.
The 60 year old Abramason was well known in the town, and worked as a doctor in Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Her husband, David, was a member of the band Reva LeSheva. He passed away two years ago after suffering a heart attack.
Six people were injured in the accident Monday, five of them PA Arabs, The Arabs were taken to a hospital in Hevron for treatment. Abramson was declared dead on the spot by a Magen David Adom crew. Her funeral was sett for 11:30 PM in Tekoa. The sixth injured person, a Jewish woman who was traveling with Abramson, was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
