The sister of Hamas Prime Minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh accompanied her ailing husband to the Rabin Medical Center in Israel, where he received emergency medical treatment, Hebrew daily Yediot Achronot reported.

Suhila Abd el-Salam arrived in Israel with her husband four months ago when he suffered a severe cardiac arrest, which the hospitals in Gaza were unable to treat.

The couple was granted permission to cross the border into Israel in order for Haniyeh’s brother- in-law to receive emergency medical care.

The patient was taken by a Gaza ambulance to the Erez Crossing, where he was transferred to the care of Magen David Adom and escorted by two police vehicles to the hospital, located in Petah Tikvah.

The couple stayed in the hospital for about a week until his condition stabilized. Following treatment the couple returned to Gaza.

Israeli officials declined to comment and the medical facility announced that it is unable to disclose the details of the case.

Ismail Haniyah and the Hamas terrorist group refuse to recognize the State of Israel’s right to exist and unremittingly perpetrate attacks against the Jewish state and its civilians.

Following the recent attack in Sinai, Haniyah joined the Muslim Brotherhood in alleging that Israel had been responsible for the attack.
