A new music video from Rabbi Pinchas Winston uses popular music to convey a message of redemption. Entitled Geulah b'Rachamim [A Merciful Redemption], the video takes snippets from Rabbi Winston's lectures and gives them a catchy beat and melody.

Rabbi Winston spoke to Arutz Sheva about the new project. "For 2,000 years the Jewish people dreamed of rebuilding themselves on their own land," Rabbi Winston stated, "and now that we're finally doing it, so many people take the miracle for granted. I'm trying to change that, especially in the face of growing anti-Semitism."

"We can hasten the redemption, we can soften the blow, we can be proactive," Rabbi Winston "sings" in the video. The lyrics are taken from a speech and then transformed into a melody with original beats and background music. Photographs of Jerusalem and other scenes are interspersed throughout the video.

"I had been looking for ways to get this message out further and faster, especially to people who might not know about me or my seminars," Rabbi Winston commented. "I saw a video called 'Symphony of Quantum Theory' and was impressed. I thought I could do the same technique with my own material."

Born in Canada, Rabbi Winston is now based in Israel and is the author of 25 works about Judaism, spirituality and the end of days.

He said the target audience for the new video is for any Jewish person open to the message, "especially those who are willing to do actively participate in the process of Jewish redemption.," he said.

Commenting on the modern style of music and presentation, Rabbi Winston stated, "our past is full of examples where unconventional means have been used to accomplish conventional Jewish goals. It's what has to happen when the Jewish people fail to respond to the needs of Jewish history, for one reason or another, especially towards the end of an exile."

In another bid to increase awareness of the issues, Rabbi Pinchas Winston will be starting a new radio show and podcast with Arutz Sheva - Israel National Radio. Entitled "Ask the Rabbi," he will be answering listener's questions about all things Jewish, as well as speak about the redemption.
