Rabbi Yaacov Benamou of JewishROC – Jewish Rockville Outreach Center in Rockville, Maryland, is in attendance at the AIPAC Policy Conference. He spoke to Arutz Sheva’s Hezki Ezra on Monday.

Rabbi Benamou said that the AIPAC conference is a reflection of the Jewish tradition that one should be extra happy and joyful when the month of Adar, the month in which the holiday of Purim is celebrated, begins.

“AIPAC is a wonderful way to start Adar,” he said. “The conference is a beautiful thing to see in the Washington, DC, area: Jews and non-Jews coming from everywhere to support the beautiful dream of thousands of years.”

Rabbi Benamou added that the interests of the Americans are similar to those of Israelis and noted that the beauty of the conference stems from the fact that it brings everyone together to work towards their shared goals.

“We see Jews and non-Jews working together to advance values that were Biblically prophesized many years ago,” he said.
