To a roaring crowd of over a thousand evangelical Christians at the “Celebrate Israel” breakfast hosted by the Israel Ministry of Tourism at the annual National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention in Nashville Tennessee, Robert Stearns, President and Founder of Eagles Wings, proclaimed, “We are a new breed of Christians. We will not be silent. Never again will Jewish People stand alone.”
The NRB is a yearly convention where thousands of mostly Evangelical Christian radio, TV and print media from all over the world come to learn about cutting edge media advances. PM was the first to start the “Celebrate Israel” breakfast about 15 years ago.
Attending the event was Min. of Tourism, Stas Misezhnikov, who in an interview stated, “This is a very important event. I am the first minister since MK Benny Elon to attend this convention.” Min. Misezhnikov invited the crowd to visit Israel as “our family.” He further explained that “When you visit Israel, you are not looking into the past, but you are watchmen on the walls of Israel into the future.”
Frank Wright, Pres. and CEO of the NRB, observed that Israel’s “You’ll never be the same!” is not a tourist slogan, but the truth that is unexplainable, and you really need to go to Israel to feel it for yourself.”
Blue Grass-legend, 14-time Grammy winner Rikky Skaggs played for the crowd. And in between the songs, Ricky added, “When I first visited Israel I fell in love with G-d’s people - that I never had before.”
Keynote speaker Minister Robert A. Schuller, Chairman of Comstar Media, declared, “When you are down to nothing, G-d is up to something. From the Holocaust came Israel. And, I’m proud, and thankful that Israel is a faithful and committed ally of the United States.”
Robert Stearns’ closing remarks were made to a standing, clapping ovation by these self-proclaimed friends of Israel, as they heard him say, “We are the watchman on the walls for Jerusalem and the Jewish People.”
