MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) said, Friday morning, that she was very pleased with the Supreme Court's decision, this week, to reject a challenge to Israel's citizenship law.

Israel's Supreme Court, on Wednesday, upheld a government policy not to extend citizenship to Arabs in Palestinian Authority enclaves who marry Israeli citizens.

"The High Court was wise. Every democratic country should develop an immigration policy," Hotovely, who chairs the Knesset committee on the status of women, told Arutz Sheva.

Hotovely noted Israel does not prevent anyone from marrying who they wish, adding "They can be united in Ramallah. As long as we have security threats, we do not need ticking bombs in our neighborhoods."

"They are hypocrites," Hotovely said of leftists who criticized the decision. "Zahava Gal-Or and her ilk want to make sure we have no one to give a Palestinian state to. She wants to let them all into the State of Israel by the back door."

Hotovely also praised a decision by Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich this week to allow uniformed IDF soldiers to ascend the Temple Mount.

"I welcome the decision of the Minister of Public Security," she said. "Unfortunately, like everything in the State of Israel, nothing is accomplished without a struggle."

Hotovely said that increased Jewish access to Judaism's holiest site won't happen without hard work from lawmakers and pressure on the Interior Committee.

"I wish it would be open to everyone so the masses could ascend the Temple Mount," she said. "The Western Wall is only close to our most holy place. We must establish our sovereignty on the Temple Mount."
