An IDF soldier was lightly wounded Sunday from rocks thrown by an Arab mob north of Jerusalem. The riot took place near the Bitunia checkpoint, not far from Beit El. The soldier received initial medical treatment on the spot.

The Arabs reportedly numbered about 400. They burned tires, threw fire bombs and hurled rocks at the soldiers. The soldiers responded with riot control gear.

On Saturday, a video showing another Arab riot was uploaded to the Internet. The video documents a group of Arabs that attacks a Jewish man, who manages to escape when other Jews come close to the Arabs.

The Government Secretary said yesterday that the outcry following a nationalist riot in an army base was an opportunity to crack down on Arab violence, which has been receiving "coddling" treatment.
