Terrorists hurling Molotov cocktails attacked a Jewish family driving near Karnei Shomron in Samaria on Wednesday. The terrorists fled when the father exited the vehicle and discharged his weapon into the air.

"We were driving home on Route 55 in Samaria. We were in the car, my wife and I, and our three small children. Suddenly we see a flaming Molotov cocktail and then a big explosion. And immediately afterward a second petrol bomb shattered our windshield," the father, who asked not to be named, told Israel National News.

The husband said he immediately realized they were under attack and needed to act quickly.

"We realized what happened and quickly pulled ourselves together. We continued another hundred, two hundred yards. There was fire on the car and in the air. Our vehicle was damaged, but miraculously no one was hurt. My wife and three small children were frightened. This was the first time someone threw a Molotov cocktail at us," the father said.

"I will bless Hagomel [a traditional blessing said during public prayer services after deliverance from danger or completion of a risky journey  -Ed.] Thursday. I won`t stop driving on the roads," he added.

The father alerted the security coordinator in Karnei Shomron who raised the alarm with the IDF, but expressed dismay at the results.

"Military forces scoured the area," the father said. "Unfortunately, the fence that was recently erected only reduces our ability to pursue terrorists. My message to the army is, stop defending us and engage -- prove that the state was created [for its citizens] and not just for [the politicians] themselves."
