Iran's Tehran Times has accused Israel and the United States of being worse than arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden. “There is no doubt that in any court of justice that is worthy of the name, Bin Laden would have an indisputably stronger case against the United States than the other way around,” the paper claimed Saturday.

The paper accused America of having killed more innocent civilians than Bin Laden, including “the slow-motion extermination of a million Iraqi children,” an apparent reference to deaths during the years in which Iraq was under sanctions.

In addition, Tehran Times charged America of support for “Judeo-Nazi settlers” and of “Israel's structural and institutional terror.” Israel murders innocent people as a matter of policy, the paper claimed.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad accused America of lying on Sunday when discussing Bin Laden. “We have precise information that the person they have recently killed has long been in the hands of the US military,” he claimed. Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi had earlier claimed to hold information proving that Bin Laden had died of illness long ago.

Tehran Times' anti-Israel rhetoric comes as security sources express concern that Syria, Iran's close ally, plans to use Israel to distract Arabs from Syria's brutal repression of protesters. On Sunday nearly 1,000 Syrians attempted to cross the border into Israel, leading to a clash with the IDF.
