Doctors plan – again – to strike at public hospitals and some clinics at the Clalit and Leumit health maintenance organizations.

The job actions are being carried out by the Israel Medical Association to pressure the Finance Ministry over wage talks which have been ongoing and thus far unsuccessful.

Public hospitals, including outpatient clinics at the medical centers, will be on skeleton crews associated with holiday schedules on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Clalit Health Services will reportedly be closed in the Southern district, the Sharon region, and in Samaria. This includes Ashkelon, Be'er Sheva, Kiryat Gat, Netivot, Sderot, Ra'anana, Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Netanya and Hadera.

Leumit clinics will also be closed Wednesday, thus far only in the Jerusalem region.

On Thursday, Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv and outpatient clinics in hospitals south of the city will be shut down.

A week from Thursday, all outpatient clinics will shut down for the day in public hospitals north of Tel Aviv, including Tel HaShomer's Sheba Medical Center.
