Following an initiative by the director of the religious school system in the Education Ministry, Dr. Abraham Lifschitz, public religious schools throughout Israel held a special prayer service on Wednesday morning, in which they asked for G-d's help in bringing more rainfall to Israel, which is suffering from a drought for the seventh year in a row.

Arutz Sheva's Hebrew website also joined the effort to bring together schools from all over the country, and presented a live webcast of the main prayer service which was held in Yeshivat Horev in Jerusalem and was headed by Israel's Chief Sephardic Rabbi (Rishon LeTziyon) Shlomo Amar.
