Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin (Likud) visited the Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem on Sunday and declared, “I don’t believe there can be an expulsion again." MK Rivlin noted that his statement is a quote most probably related to former Prime Minister Sharon who led the expulsion from Gush Katif, “I can quote people who were responsible for the expulsion who stated that there will never be another expulsion,” he noted.

Rivlin stood in the “Black Room” of the museum documenting the difficult moments of expulsion and destruction and said “It is a dark feeling. This is one of the most awful chapters in our nation's life in this generation. It was a democratic decision, but today people are thinking: “Why and for what did we do this? What did it contribute?”
