His comments were translated by MEMRI from an Iranian News Agency report. The report said that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad viewed a Hizbullah political victory in the elections as a stepping stone to establishing a new regional front against Israel. He called the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Al-Hariri a conspiracy by Lebanon's enemies that would have no impact on Hizbullah and Iran.
