Flash: the crisis below has been averted. The National Camp coalition is intact!

Thank you very much indeed to all of you who helped make this happen by writing in to Israel's leadership. Israeli politics are so exciting.

Feel free to write to new Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman (aliberman@knesset.gov.il) with a suitable welcoming message such as: Dear Minister Liberman, welcome! Please say YES to building new Jewish communities in the Land of Israel (his Ministry's signature often holds up crucial Jewish building projects...) and NO to a Palestinian state just a bike-ride away from Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Ben-Gurion airport.

YESTERDAY'S REPORT:

Another crisis is boiling here in vehement Israel. The left is overjoyed!

Back in crisis mode! A furious argument has flared up between Netanyahu and Bennett over the way Israel’s security cabinet is run. For details:

Procedure in Israel’s security cabinet  is a very important issue.

But what's MOST important, is this:

BOTH men need to hear, directly from the public, and without any delay, that this issue MUST NOT be allowed to cause Israel’s hard-won right-wing government to disintegrate.

So, can you,  as a devoted friend of Israel who is reading this update, email briefly to Israel’s MKs, right away?

That would be most helpful, because tomorrow, reportedly, will be the crucial day. Israel is really a very democratic country, in that sense, you know.  If a few dozen well-meaning private citizens write in about some worrying issue – the MKs notice, and so do the ministers. Suddenly the national popcorn starts popping, and all because a few dozen people cared enough about Israel to write in. So – please do your bit. Remember that your email is not the only one out there – it’s one email within a whole cluster of emails that’s going to form around yours.

Here's an example email – or write your own!!

Netanyahu & Bennett, you must  BOTH solve the “cabinet” problem. NO new elections, NO leftwing newcomers in Bennet’s place, YES to shalom between Netanyahu & Bennet!

guard Israel’s fledgling rightwing government carefully

      and

NOT let Israel’s fledgling rightwing government fall.
