With all the talk of BDS, coupled with the worldwide upsurge in anti-Semitism and bias against Israel, we are now being confronted with outright lies from official bodies in the European Union countries.

Fact:

Any Jew who travels in the so-called West Bank regions, which should always be called by their proper historical names, Samaria (north of Jerusalem) and Judea (south of Jerusalem), knows that Jews travel with doors locked and windows closed tight or protected, out of concern from the frequent Arab rock and firebomb attacks, not to mention actual shooting attacks. Knowing that Jews do not share their strange passion for attacking cars in transit, Arabs invariably travel in cars with windows wide open. Furthermore, they are often seen happily strolling on the sides of the main intercity roads, whereas Jews are forced to confine their walks to within their communities.

The Jewish safety precautions didn’t arise in a vacuum. The past fifteen years have seen thousands of Arab shooting, rock, and firebomb attacks on Jewish civilians in Judea and Samaria, causing countless deaths and serious wounds, and many lifelong psychological traumas to children and families.

Meanwhile, the arrogant, self-righteous countries of Western Europe continue to officially disseminate incredible lies that rival the infamous Nazi and Soviet Communist propaganda machines in their viciousness and hatred of truth.

Travel Advisory - British Government Website:

“Israelis living in the illegal settlements in the West Bank occasionally organize demonstrations in the West Bank which sometimes turn violent. Take particular care if you are near any of these settlements…”

Travel Advisory - Dutch Government Website:

“There are security risks for traveling all over the West Bank including east Jerusalem.  Be alert when traveling there. Demonstrations and violent incidents occur regularly. Jewish colonists live in illegal West Bank settlements and organize demonstrations regularly around and on the road. These colonists are sometimes violent. At times, these colonists throw stones at Palestinians and international vehicles, so be alert when traveling around settlements of Jewish colonists.”

Jewish colonists? Are they serious? We are proud residents at home in our biblical, historical heartland, with generations and roots tracing back thousands of years, even though our Arab Muslim neighbors try to kill us every time we dare to travel outside our residential communities.  I guess the former colonizing countries of Europe, who invaded and controlled countries that weren’t theirs,  never treated their propensity for “Projection”, the unintentional psychological defense mechanism, through which one projects his own faults and shortcomings on others.  Anyone who has traveled here in the region of Samaria, where I have lived for twenty-three years, knows that these European government websites contain outright lies that bear no remote semblance of truth.

The time has come to play hardball in oppo‎sition to the haters that claim to be our friends. Israel’s political leadership should put an end to its nimble diplomatic dance in response to diplomatic aggression. No more gentle diplomatic consultations, no more mild requests for clarifications. Stop welcoming the Dutch and British diplomats as honored guests in Jerusalem until the malicious lies are removed from their official government websites. It’s not pleasant, but it’s time to fight fire with fire.
