The Holidays are over! Action, Action, Action! Back to work to everyone!

Iranian Missiles

After the deadly attack on the Iranian military parade last week, this week the Iranians fired missiles at ISIS targets in Syria. ISIS of course had taken responsibility for the attack which in no way means they were actually involved at all.  But if its all theatrical anyway, fire away! In this way, Iran can pretend to have responded without having to acknowledge the likely reality that the attack was carried out by Iranian citizens. Tough pill to swallow for the mullahs.

Russian Anti-Aircraft Missiles Arrive in Syria

Russia has reportedly successfully delivered S300 missiles to Syria to theoretically be used against Israel Air Force planes. Let's see how long they last before Israel blasts them all the way back to Moscow. Syria paid a good chunk of money for these expensive toys that will soon likely be smashed to bits. They really do need their Jews back.

New multicultural Government in Iraq

Iraq has a new President and he has appointed someone to form a new government. The President is required to be Kurdish and is. The new Prime Minister must be and is Shiite. The speaker of the parliament must be sunni. Doesn't all that sound like one multicultural paradise? And then you remember that its Iraq, so not exactly.

Gaza - Slight Escalation

Violent "protests" continued on the border with Israel this week and over 100 explosives were thrown at Israeli forces in just one day. About 10 arabs have been killed. I'm sure hamas is disappointed with those low numbers. They aren't getting the attention they deserve, so got to try something else.

UNRWA - Get the Hell Out of Gaza!

So hamas decided to instigate intimidation and violence against non-arab UNRWA employees in the Gaza Strip. They were scared (mission accomplished) and most fled into Israel, where they are now safe (ironic isn't it) They're probably sitting in a bar in Tel Aviv right now, telling anti-semitic jokes and drinking Israeli beer. Almost feel bad for the trauma they suffered....but don't.

Germans Don't Change Much

The current fuhrer Angie Merkel has arrived in Israel. She conditioned her short visit on Israel now tearing down an illegal arab encampment along a highway outside of Jerusalem while she is here. Not known for their manners, the Israelis have obliged and the metal shacks will come down a few days later. Hope she feels like she accomplished something. Some Israelis are bitter about her incredibly chutzpah  condition, but keep in mind, they used to kill us by the millions, so we're in a pretty good place right now. Not sure if Merkel has facebook, but someone should post pics of the eventual demolition on her wall. Wouldn't want her to miss it, at least she should see it virtually.

(No?) Future of the Government Coalition

Two months left for the Hareidi (ultra-Orthodox) parties to decide on whether they support the new proposed draft law or not. If they don't, new elections. If they do, maybe new elections. In the meantime, we have nationwide municipal elections with less than a month to go until voting on Oct. 30. Some of these local races really matter (Jerusalem) and some are just loud and obnoxious but have little national importance (Beit Shemesh!!!).

News just came in that Jews were able to purchase and take control of another large property in the City of David today. Expect more to come. Despite the iranian mullahs, russian missiles, the germans, UNWRA, hamas and others, the momentum is with the Jews!

Shabbat Shalom,
