This morning I found two very disturbing news articles showing that things are actually getting worse. Rocket attacks by the Arabs on Israel, on both the Negev and Gush Katif, are increasing. Only G-d?s miracles have protected our civilians and soldiers. The statement was quoted by both ?The Jerusalem Post? and Arutz 7; so have not doubt that the Chief of Staff said it. Since when is defensive army action ?terrorism?? What?s an army supposed to do? March in parades in fancy dress, unfurling banners? This isn?t Monaco. We?re a country constantly under attack. Our very existence is threatened. We don?t have to apologize nor rationalize military actions against aggressors.

Why isn?t Israel defending its citizens? What are they waiting for? The Arabs are telling everyone their plans; they?re not embarrassed. They have tacit support from the world just like the Nazis did when the ?concentration camps? were working at full capacity.
When will World Jewry understand that no foreign government or international body is going to save endangered Jews? We have to do it ourselves and for that we have an army. Sixty years ago Jews who survived the Holocaust made their way to the Holy Land to fight for Jewish Independence. Other Jews trekked across deserts from Arab countries to join them to establish a Jewish State. Leaking boats and legendary airlifts brought Jews from all over the world to strengthen our young country.
And now, almost sixty years later, despite our victories and technological sophistication, our military won?t fight like soldiers. They pretend to be philosophers and diplomats. Sorry, but in the real world, the world of bombs, bullets and explosives those ?pretty words? are farcial and dangerous.
Something?s wrong with our national psyche, but Baruch Hashem, not every brain is infested with the ?virus.?
