President Barack Obama & John Kerry, the U.S. Secretary of State, made a deal with the devil in Iran – one which endangers the entire Western world. Lest we forget, in January 2014, Moshe Yaalon, Israel’s Defense Minister said that only thing that could "save" Israel was for Kerry to receive the Nobel Peace Prize and "leave us alone." Who knew that Kerry’s attempts to be awarded a peace prize and his leaving Israel alone would entail a terrible deal with Iran which endangers America & Israel. Obama and Kerry shoved this deal down the world’s throat. Last year, Kerry’s fixation was Israel, and Ya’alon said “the American security plan that was presented to us is not worth the paper it was written on. It contains neither security nor peace. Only our continued presence in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan River will guarantee that Ben Gurion Airport and (the northern city of) Netanya do not become targets for missiles from every direction. Ya’alon noted that, “Secretary of State John Kerry – who came here very determined, and operates based upon an unfathomable obsession and a messianic feeling – cannot teach me anything about the Palestinians.” On the Iran deal, there is not even a piece of paper as Iran and America have a “deal” which both sides are already interpreting differently – and Kerry’s messianic feeling continues on. Obama and Kerry shoved this deal down the world’s throat. The American government did the same with the Arab-Israel conflict, as it pressured Israel to do a deal with the Palestinian Arabs which would endanger the Jewish state – but, thankfully, recently re-elected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has so far stood up to American pressure, refusing to bow to terrorism and capitulate. In the wake of the Iran deal, what comes next for Israel? Undoubtedly, Netanyahu is strategizing and thinking and wondering what the best course of action for his people is. Jabotinsky had plenty of modern answers for today’s problems, and Israel will face world pressure to not continue to make waves in the midst of a major deal with Iran. Ze’ev Jabotinsky gave a clear answer in The Story of The Jewish Legion: “Everybody is wrong and you alone are right?” No doubt this question springs by itself to the reader’s lips and mind. It is customary to answer this with apologetic phrases to the effect that I fully respect public opinion, that I bow to it, that I was glad to make concessions….All this is unnecessary, and all this is untrue. You cannot believe in anything in the world, if you admit even once that perhaps your opponents are right, and not you. This is not the way to do things. There is but one truth in the world, and it is all yours. If you are not sure of it, stay at home; but if you are sure, don’t look back, and it will be your way.” When it comes time to talk of concessions, now that this deal has been made, even more so, Israel needs to give nothing - “ Do not say, so what if we concede Hebron, Nablus and beyond the Jordan — this concession is not comprised of words devoid of meaning, and everyone will understand this to be the case. Do not underestimate the power of a concession! … Do not underestimate the power of a right, and don’t exaggerate the value of a building that is being built. I, too, respect the construction of a building, but woe upon us if we extract the basis of our right to exist from it.” Jabotinsky concluded in his well-known “Iron Wall” essay: “A voluntary agreement is unattainable. And so those who regard an accord with the Arabs as an indispensable condition of Zionism must admit to themselves today that this condition cannot be attained and hence that we must give up Zionism. We must either suspend our settlement efforts or continue them without paying attention to the mood of the natives. Settlement can thus develop under the protection of a force that is not dependent on the local population, behind an iron wall which they will be powerless to break down.” Israel’s Defense Minister – and Ze’ev Jabotinsky had it right. There must be an iron wall of Jewish military force. That force is called The State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces who must do the right thing even in a world of insanity.
