A woman was murdered and several others were wounded when a terrorist opened fire on Sunday afternoon at the Be'er Sheva Central Bus Station.
Magen David Adom reported that eight people were wounded in the shooting, including a woman in her 20s who is in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead. One victim is in moderate to serious condition, four are in moderate condition, and three are in light condition. MDA later updated the number of wounded to 10 including a woman in her 20s in moderate to serious condition with gunshot wounds, four in their 20s in moderate condition with gunshot wounds, and five in light condition with bruises and injuries from broken glass. MDA also treated three individuals who suffered shock.
The victim was later identified as Border Police Sergeant Shira Chaya Suslik.
The terrorist was neutralized. He was identified as Ahmed Sa'id Suliman al-U'qbi, 29, from U'qbi near the Bedouin town of Hura in the Negev. He is an Israeli citizen with a criminal record and is related to Mouhand, the terrorist who murdered IDF soldier Omer Levi, in an attack at the same central station.
Eyewitnesses stated that the shooter wore a bulletproof vest. According to reports from the scene, the shooting took place in two locations, including the local McDonalds and a nearby street.
Police spokesman Aryeh Doron told Channel 12 News, "We are continuing to conduct searches for accomplices, we are asking everyone who is in the area not to go there."
United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs Eliyah Tubul, Yosefi Asor, and Daniel Levy reported from the scene: "We provided initial treatment at the scene to a young woman who was seriously injured and was later transported to the hospital, to another woman who was in critical condition and to four people who were moderately and lightly to moderately injured. In addition, we provided assistance at the scene to a number of people who suffered from emotional shock due to the nature of the incident."
On Tuesday evening, two gunmen from Hebron opened fire at a light rail station in Jaffa, killing seven people and wounding 16.
This morning, the name of the seventh victim of Tuesday's attack was cleared for publication. The victim was named as 33-year-old Victor Shimshon Green. Shahar Goldman, 30, Inbar Segev Vigder, 33, Revital Bronstein, 24, Nadia Sokalenko, 40, Ilya Nozadze, 42, and Jonas Chrosis, 26, were also killed in the attack.
