The Procurement Administration in the Ministry of Defense signed today (Sunday) a multi-year deal with the Israeli Imco Group worth approximately 376 million NIS.
Under the agreement, the Imco Group will provide over the next 4 years systems and subsystems for IDF armored combat vehicles, including the Merkava tanks and Namer and Eitan APCs.
Imco will supply to the Merkava and Armored Corps Management (MANAT) in the Ministry of Defense electrical kits that include, among other things, advanced video management systems, voltage management systems, and harnesses.
The systems' production and supply will be carried out by the Security Division of Imco which consolidates underneath it the operations of three subsidiary companies: Nir Or, Imco Projects, and ADTI in the USA.
This is the largest deal the Ministry of Defense has signed with the Israeli Imco Group, which will lead to efficiencies of tens of millions of NIS as a result of its scope.
The deal is part of implementing the lessons from the war and the emphasis by the CEO of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (Ret.) Eyal Zamir, on prioritizing deals to strengthen the ground capability and expanding the procurement of Armored Corps equipment.
