PC Mohammed Adil, from Bradford, has been charged with two counts of publishing an image that supports of an illegal organization, in his case, specifically Hamas, under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act.
PC Adil, 26, who is based in Calderdale, has been accused of publishing these messages on WhatsApp between October and November 2023.
He has been suspended by West Yorkshire Police and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct held an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East, who determined that the case should be referred to the Crown Prosecution Service.
