Nine-year-old Emily Hand, who was held hostage by Hamas in Gaza and was freed from captivity after 50 days, sang the song "Ma Nishtana", part of the Passover Haggadah, with other children from Kibbutz Be'eri during a Seder at Hostages' Square in Tel Aviv on Monday evening.
Hand’s father, Thomas Hand, thought Emily had been murdered by Hamas on October 7, before finding out she was alive and held hostage in Gaza.
Hand was released as part of the hostage release deal with Hamas in November. Her father told Kan News in February that his daughter is still suffering nightmares months after the ordeal.
Hamas terrorists murdered at least 100 residents of Kibbutz Be’eri during the October 7 attack. 30 residents were kidnapped to Gaza, of which 19 were released in the November deal.
