Anti-Israel protesters this morning (Monday) blocked an access road leading to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
The protest forced commuters to leave their cars and walk from the highway to the airport terminals.
Protestors held signs that read "Free Palestine” and “Stop Genocide.”
Protest organizers said that the demonstration was directed at Boeing over the company's sales to Israel.
The Chicago Dissenters wrote in an Instagram post: “On this Tax Day, when millions are paying taxes which fund the ongoing U.S and Israeli bombardment of Gaza, protestors seek to take dramatic action."
The group added, “O’Hare International Airport is one of the largest in the country, and there will be NO business as usual while Palestinians suffer at the hands of American funded bombing by Israel."
The airport called on passengers to find alternative means of arriving for their flights, such as the CTA Blue Line.
