Two haredi extremists were arrested today (Tuesday) for disorderly conduct and a violent riot during a march from Ein Ya'akov to Shabbat Square in Jerusalem.

During the march, extremists waved PLO flags and signs against the State of Israel. Police forces were called to the scene and began arresting suspects.

During the attempt to arrest them, a violent riot began that included disorderly conduct, attacking police officers, blocking vehicles and the highway, throwing objects and stones at the police officers, attempting to damage a police vehicle, shouting "Nazis" at the police officers, setting fire to two trash cans, and burning them to block the highway.

Police used riot-dispersal means to restore public order. One of the detainees who was asked to present an ID card pulled out a "Palestinian Jew" card.
