The IDF spokesman today published evidence collected by Israeli soldiers during their operations in Gaza and processed by the IDF Intelligence Department. The documents recovered show significant differences between the standard of living for the average resident of Gaza and Hamas leadership.
Over the course of the ground operation in Gaza, numerous documents were seized that show how disconnected the Hamas leadership is from the populace.
These included receipts for purchases worth approximately two years' salary of the average Gazan.
In one of the raids, five receipts were captured bearing the name of Ismail Haniyeh's fourth son, showing he had purchased jewelry worth thousands of dollars in Gaza and Qatar.
