The pilot of a small private plane that left an airport in Montgomery, Maryland, spelled out the words, "Bring Them Home," with his flight path.
The flight path can be seen on multiple flight tracking applications that allow users to check the path of a plane online.
The plan was a single-engine Cessna 172 that took off in the afternoon, and left the message on radar screens everywhere at an altitude of 900 meters. It returned to Montgomery County at 6:30 p.m. local time.
The flight joins an international campaign for the immediate release of the hostages, in which both the families of the hostages and the Israeli government are taking part.
