A far-right politician in Poland made an antisemitic remark to Israel’s ambassador to the country during the Polish Independence Day parade on Saturday in Warsaw.

During the parade, members of the party held signs protesting the ‘USrealization’ of Poland.

One of the senior members of the Polish Confederation party, Grzegorz Braun, held a sign saying ‘Stop the USrealization of Poland’, as well as signs denouncing the EU and calling for Poland to leave it.

“We do not want the Polish people to be collateral for the acts of genocide taking place right now in Palestine. USraelization of Poland, which is to say forgoing Polish interests in favor of the global American empire, because if we do that Poland loses.”

In response to the signs against Israel and the USA, Yacov Livne, Israel’s ambassador to Poland, published a post criticizing Braun: “"Stop Usraelization (sic!) of the Polish raison d'Etat" - call these "patriots", on Polish Independence Day in Warsaw. They fight against 3 "evils": the US, the EU, and Israel... No words.”

Braun responded to the post by saying that the ambassador should ‘go home or to hell’. “Go home, your Excellency, go home ASAP - or go to hell, whatever you please."

The Confederation party is considered a far-right party, whose leaders have been known to make antisemitic remarks. The party opposes allowing minority migrants into Poland and supports Poland leaving the EU. In the elections held last month, the party won 7% of the votes cast.
